Farm internship program expands

STATE – The Farm Internship Project, which started as a pilot project offered in northwest counties of Washington State in 2010, now includes 16 counties following the signing of HB 1906 by the State Legislature. Effective July 23, the project added Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, and Walla Walla counties, and extends through Dec. 31, 2019. Farms wanting to participate in the project must have annual sales of less than $250,000 per year. Counties included in this project are Chelan, Clark, Cowlitz, Grant, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Lewis, Lincoln, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, Thurston, Walla Walla, Whatcom, and Yakima.
