Oct 6th, 2012 | By | Category: News

SKAGIT – A new radio show about the artisan spirit of Skagit County residents premiered last month on KSVR 91.7 FM, Community Radio for the Skagit Valley. “Skagit By Hand” is a weekly segment on KSVR’s Skagit Talks and airs Thursday afternoons at 5 p.m. The show is cohosted by Jodie Buller (Skagit coop), Katharine Isserlis (Well Fed Farms), Ann Lesson (Ponder Farms) and Jessica Gigot (Harmony Fields).  The show will also interview and feature artists and craftspeople within the Skagit community and explore how and why people are drawn to the work that they do, and how this valley and community sustains their craft. Show topics will range from canning and preservation techniques to DIY, instrument making, letter press printing, home brewing and more.  A website is under construction. Archive files can be accessed at www.ksvr.org/archives.html#st.
