Tour research fields on Small Grains Field Day at NWREC

The Plant Breeding Program at the WSU Mount Vernon Northwest Research and Extension Center (NWREC) will host its annual Small Grains Field Day on Thursday, June 28. Farmers, millers, bakers, maltsters, distillers, brewers and others interested are invited to tour the research fields and to discuss the production of small grains such as wheat, oats, rye, and barley in Western Washington for food, feed, and malt. The free tour starts at 3 p.m. Preregistation is not required. Participants should dress accordingly for this outside event.  NWREC is located at 16650 State Route 536 in Mount Vernon.
